Welcome to the Bushmills Malt Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament Tribute Website
This website pays tribute to an amateur golf tournament which takes place annually on the glorious Causeway coast in County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
The tournament is the Bushmills Malt Causeway Coast amateur golf tournament (formerly known as the Black Bush golf tournament).
The website is a story of a group of golf mad Scotsmen who travel over from Scotland every year to compete in this special event.
The golfers are all from Bannockburn and and the surrounding area of Central Scotland.
The story started about eight years ago when Alex and Willie came over to play in their first Black Bush tournament.
Basically all their golfing mates from home followed on after hearing about the great time the boys had. Alex and Willie raved about the great golf courses, the wonderful local people, who go out their way to make everybody welcome, and the camaraderie and craic amongst our fellow competitors in the tournament.
There was however one Bannockburn guy,Kevin Copeland (a real ugly bastard by the way!) who came over in the early ninties with a group of guys,so technically he was the first from the Bannockburn area to partcipate.
The competition takes place on four majestic golf courses on the glorious Causeway Coast in county Antrim Northern Ireland.
The courses are Portstewart Golf Club, the Valley Golf Club at Portrush,Castlerock Golf Club, and last but not least Ballycastle Golf Club.
Cracking golf courses set in magnificent surroundings with some breathtaking scenery. The courses we play are all traditional links courses, which test your game and patience to the full, especially when the wind blows.
County Antrim is a truly fantastic place for a golf holiday, the local people are the most warm and friendly people you would wish to come across.
The Bushmills Malt Causeway Coast amateur golf tournament attracts competitors from every corner of the globe. The tournament is immensely popular, players from 22 different countries participated in 2005.
We started this website four years ago and have added some webpages for fellow competitors who have e-mailed us their photos and their experiences in the tournament.
We have provided links to their pages on the left hand side of each webpage.
Please feel free to e-mail any photos or fond memories from your Black Bush experiences and we will add page(s) to our website for you or your group.
